Every Thanksgiving weekend, our friends in Region 33 Balboa Park, host a two day tournament for 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U players. Games are held on the Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, November 29th and 30th. Previously known as the Turkey Tournament, it has been renamed the “Cynthia Petrillo Memorial Thanksgiving Tournament.” More information is available on their website. 

This is a fun tournament intended to reward our volunteers for their hard work, so priority goes to players whose parents are on the board, are coaches or assistant coaches, are certified refs, or are team parents. We will form only as many teams as we have volunteer coaches, so participation is not guaranteed. There will be a per player fee (usually between $40 and $50) and a uniform fee for any player who needs a uniform (usually about $25).

If your child is interested in playing, please log into your account on our website at ayso58.org. Click the “Register Now” button on the upper right side of the screen. For any players in our competitive divisions, they should be able to register for the Fall 2019 Turkey Tournament. Select the players you want to register and continue through all of the registration screens. Make sure to e-sign the registration form and click all the way through the payment screen (there is no charge unless you want to donate). Your registration is only complete once you get to the order confirmation screen. You will also receive an email confirming your registration. 

The deadline to register is Sunday, November 3, 2019. If you do not register by that date your child may not be able to participate. You will be contacted by your division manager mid-November to let you know if your child has been placed on a team. Thank you for volunteering to support our region.
