Hi Soccer fans,
Just 4 items to discuss this week:
1. Food news
- Breakfast starting between 7:15 and 7:30am. Egg sandwiches (with or
without meat), pancakes, donuts, grilled cheese, etc... Lunch starting
around 10:30am includes hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chili
(with or without meat). Iced tea (brewed unsweetened tropical ice tea)
is only $2 for a 32oz cup and gets RAVE REVIEWS!!! Last
week, we had a pretty slow day for some unknown reason, so please come
back to support the program this week. It's going to be hot on
Saturday, so please HYDRATE yourself and the kids!!!
2. Volunteer appreciation
- last Saturday we had our first round of FREE ICE SUNDAES for the
teams in each division with the most Division Day volunteer sign-ups for
the first half of the season. If your team wants to get FREE ICE CREAM
SUNDAES, there's still lots of time to volunteer between now and the
end of the season. And if
you see a bunch of kids enjoying ice cream with fudge and whipped cream
and sprinkles near a tent decorated by the Info Tent, those are the
volunteers' kids!!!
3. Grilled Cheese
- Slightly crispy on the outside, yummy cheesey on the inside, grilled
to perfection - it is everything you could want in a sandwich (assuming
you don't want any meat!!!). Priced at only $3.00, it's a great deal
for lunch or brunch and gives the non-meat eaters yet another
alternative to our burgers and hot dogs!!! By the way, the GOG Squad
(Guys/Gals O' Grill) and I have a contest going as to how many people
will come for these sandwiches - I think at least 50 people will want
them (and that is a really low estimate), but the GOG squad thinks I'm
over-estimating. Come get a Grilled Cheese Sandwich and PROVE ME
RIGHT!!!!
4. Sponsor update
- Central Valley Builders Supply and Groundwork Coffee have once again
continued their AWESOME support of our Region with more donations of
product essential for Cafe 58 success. Just as they are supporting our
