The 4 topics included in this update are:
1. Record Sales last weekend raised over $2,300 for our scholarship fund!!!

4. Update on our Scholarship Funds
1. Last weekend at Cafe 58 had record sales for this season - Thanks to all of the support of the volunteers and the parents / families who came to Cafe 58, we raised over $2,300 to add to our Scholarship Funds. Many of you came to Cafe 58 for the first time, and we want to keep this pace going. Please come back this weekend for some of our new offerings (Umpqua Oatmeal - one of our new sponsors and tater tots) along with all of the fav's (egg sandwiches, pancakes, hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled cheese, veggie burgers, smoothies, pretzels, nachos and all sorts of drinks). To encourage you to come back, we will be sending out a coupon this week via email for purchases at Cafe 58 on Saturday, Oct 12.
2. Discount Coupon for Cafe 58 -
As a thank you for supporting our program last weekend, we will be sending out by email and, if we can get it done, printed to hand out at the fields, a coupon giving you a sizeable discount on purchases at Cafe 58 on Saturday, Oct 12. (Fine print - not valid for purchases of Snack Bar bucks which already give you one free buck for every $10 that you purchase). To find out how to redeem the discount and how much it is, you will need to read the email (what a teaser!!!).
3. Great big thanks to our Cafe 58 Sponsors -
we
continue to get AWESOME support every week from our three main Cafe 58
sponsors - Central Valley Builders Supply (with all of the propane for
the grill, for which we say "tank-you" very much) and Groundwork Coffee
(for all of the Certified Organic coffee) and our newest sponsor, Umpqua Oats, purveyor of great Oatmeal meals in a cup.. Everyone who has tasted the Oatmeal (three different flavors) has loved it as an alternative to (or addition to!!!) the egg sandwiches and pancakes for breakfast.
4. Update on our Scholarship Funds - To date, we have raised close to $5,000 from the proceeds of Cafe 58 for our program - this is incredible given
that we are not even half-way through the season. Let's keep the
momentum going to keep our registration fees as low as possible and
still provide the required financial support to members of our community
to participate in our program. We are right on track to meet our goal, and
