As many of you may know, we have had significant changes to the "Local Rules of Competition" for next season. These are US Soccer mandated Player Development Initiatives, they are not changes to the laws of the game. Please note this affects all soccer leagues, not just AYSO.
For 19U, 16U, and 14U there are no changes, other than the division name and age. There are SIGNIFICANT changes for 10U, 8U, 7U, and 6U. 12U will also have changes.
We will have a meeting to fully explain the rule changes on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 6:45 PM at the Senior Center in VNSO park, located at 5056 Van Nuys Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403.
Please make every effort to attend. We will keep this event as brief as possible.
Coaches, if you are unable to attend, you will likely have to repeat Coach Certification training as this is now a significant part of Coach Instruction.
Referees, it is vital you are aware of these changes as well.
Board members should also be aware of these changes, and any and all parents are welcome to attend and learn about the new rules.
