Snack Bar update - 11/3/2023

Hi AYSO 58 Soccer fans:

So, an egg sandwich, some tater tots and a grilled cheese go into a bar, and ask the bartender for a smoothie.  The bartender looks at them angrily and says “we don’t serve your type here – LEAVE”.  As they are leaving, they turn around and say “oh, it’s our mistake, we thought this was a SNACK bar”.

Don’t make the same mistake that they did – come to Café 58, our SNACK Bar, for breakfast, lunch and snacks to support our Region’s scholarship fund.  There are only three more weeks of the regular season games, so let’s make one more big push to reach our scholarship fundraising goal (https://www.ayso58.org/Default.aspx?tabid=937931).  

Breakfast on Saturday starting at 7:00 am, as always, and served all day as long as we have eggs, English muffins and pancakes left.  The orange Halloween pancakes last weekend were a big hit, but they are gone until next year.

Vegetarian options – many people have been asking if we have vegetarian options.  Well, we do all day!!!  Egg sandwiches (made without any meat), pancakes, grilled cheese, Air-Fried tater tots and French fries, smoothies (no dairy), chips and granola bars.

Volunteer Appreciation day continues this Saturday– free Ice Cream sundaes for the team in each division (U7 through U12) with the most volunteer points.  
To acknowledge and reward the parents and teams in each division who have volunteered the most so far this season, we are reviving the tradition of giving those teams FREE ice cream sundaes.  As you are walking near the Info Tent (on the way to the snack bar!!!), this Saturday you will see a big tent with awesome balloons, tables, chairs and lots of smiling kids.  The teams being honored this Saturday have already been notified and scheduled, so as you are walking by, congratulate them and challenge your team to bump up your volunteer points for the rest of the season.  This Ice Cream party (and the balloons) are being sponsored by Balloons Fete, owned by our own Region’s Stephanie Arrellano – check it out at www.balloonsfete.com. 

Lastly, enjoy your games on Saturday, keep hydrated, and let's all have a safe, fair and fun day.  Oh, and if you haven't figured it out yet, please come to Café 58 to support our program.
